Why Cooling v3
What Cooling v3 adds
The step up from Initia Classic v2, for anyone who finds the heat of IPL hard to sit through.
Ice mode while you flash
Press the snowflake key and the ice mode runs during the session, easing the hot, prickly feeling of each flash. The head is rated to cool down to 6 °C.
Ice compress afterwards
When you finish, switch on the care mode and glide the cold head over the treated skin to calm warmth and redness.
Glide-and-flash mode
Long-press the light key and it flashes by itself as you slide it over legs and arms. Switch back to one flash per press for small areas.
9 intensity levels
Start at level 1 and move up step by step. Darker skin and the bikini line stay on the lower levels.
Three modes: HR, SR and AC
HR for hair removal, SR for the look of uneven skin tone, AC for blemish-prone skin. Never use it on open or inflamed spots.

Swipe through each step. A full session takes minutes for underarms and longer for legs.

Shave
Shave the area. Skin must be clean and dry: no cream, gel, deodorant or sunscreen.

Glasses on
Put on the protective glasses before you switch on.

Hold the power button for 3 seconds, then set your level.

Hold the window flat on the skin and press to flash, or use glide-and-flash on legs and arms.

Move to the next spot after each flash. Do not go over the same spot twice in a row.

Calm and switch off
Glide the cold head over the skin in ice compress mode, then hold power for 3 seconds.

It makes it more comfortable. The ice mode cools the head while you flash, which eases the hot, prickly feeling, and the ice compress mode calms the skin afterwards. Most people still feel warmth, a little more on the underarms and bony areas. If anything hurts, go down a level.
Treated hairs shed over the following weeks, and regrowth comes back slower and finer with each round of sessions. Follow the schedule: twice a week for weeks 1–4, every 1–2 weeks for weeks 5–8, then every 2–4 weeks to keep it up. IPL gives long-term hair reduction, not permanent removal, and results vary from person to person.
